Work Experience

Media Powerhouse - BBC Studio Works, Global HQ, Sky Studios

During July 2024, my school ran a week of work experience in which I worked at the company . On my first day, I visited BBC Studio Works and the stage of "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" and went behind the scenes to see the equipment which Media Powerhouse provide. In the following days, I visited the warehouse and tested equipment to be sent out for hire. This was a great experience to learn how a company operates in the media industry and how they deal with clients and equipment. On my final day, I was very fortunate to be taken to Global HQ in Leicester Square where I was able to see the studios of Capital, Heart, LBC and more. I was again able to see the equipment used in the studios and how the company uses it to broadcast to the nation. On the same day, I also visited Sky Studios in Osterley, London. I assisted in repairing a damaged LED screen and was able to see the studios of Sky News and Sky Sports News.

      Starting late September, I will be working as a Software Engineer Apprentice at Sky.

      Feb. 2025 - Present

      Working as a Java developer for the Minecraft modpack, Vault Hunters. I have worked on the pack through Updates 17, 18, 19 and 20, along with being involved in porting the mod to 1.21 (For Vault Hunters 4).
